My name is Karen Cogan. I'm a very happy, joyful person who adores the Great Outdoors.  I find peace and tranquility, beauty and balance in nature. Photographing the magnificence of nature is my passion!  I'm also very interested in architectural photography.architectureMy y other photographic fascination is architecture

For me, a perfect day is grabbing my camera gear and hiking into remote areas, photographing landscapes, native plant life and wild animals of all sorts. I've published my photos of Arabian show horses in industry magazines. . Though I much prefer nature and the Great Outdoors to great cities, architecture has always captivated me as  a form of art on a grand scale, and it's my second greatest photographic love after nature & wildlife.

I will graduate from California State University, Fullerton in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, concentration: photocommunications, and a minor in art. I look forward to a long career in magazines, hopefully working in nature conservation photography & journalism.

Hi.  I'm Karen Cogan.

I'm an outdoors kind of gal. I find peace and tranquility, beauty and balance in nature. Photographing the magnificence of nature is my passion! I love landscape and wildlife photography.

A perfect day for me is grabbing my camera gear and hiking into remote areas, photographing  mountains, rivers, meadows, deserts, foggy woods and stunning sunsets.

My photographs of Arabian show horses were published in early 2014 in industry magazines. Animals in general are one of my favorite subjects, but especially the wild kind. One of my greatest thrills yet was being in a ring with a Siberian tiger and getting some amazing shots of this majestic animal!

I'll graduate from California State University, Fullerton in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in communications, concentration: photocommunications, and a minor in art. I look forward to a long career working with nature conservation or travel magazines, contributing my work as a writer and a photographer.
